Kaden in Kansas (with Jake & I)

We were able to go to Kansas June 10-14 to visit my family. Kaden did great on the flight there. It was a 2 hour 30 min flight on the way out but the way back was a different story-it was a 3 hour flight on the way back and of that he screamed for an hour of it! I felt so bad for him (along with the other passengers on the flight) I think that he was just done traveling, possibly a little ear ache, and ready for bed. For one reason or another both on the way out and the way back he would fall asleep on take off and sleep for about 30 min and then be ready to play (He would wake up right after I told Jake that he was asleep and that it was going to be a good flight)!
Kaden and Daddy in the airport ready to start our fun trip!

It was Kaden's first time to meet his Aunt Krystal and Uncle Ricky and all of his cousins! It was also his first time to meet a lot of his Greats-Grandpa, Grandma, Aunts, and Uncle! He did so good, he didn't have a problem being away from home or meeting a lot of new people! Cousins~Dakota, Lain, O'Ryan & Dulcie
The Chance 4 generation Picture. We are so glad that we were able to take Kaden up to Kansas and that he was able to meet his Grandma and Grandpa Chance
Grandpa was nice enough to let Kaden jump (for those of you who know Kaden know that his favorite thing to do his jump- He will out last anybody!)
Kaden has such fun Great-Aunts-Aunt Kim, Aunt Kathy, & Aunt Connie
Lainy with one of his favorite persons ever (and Jake with one of his favorite persons ever)!
Kaden really started to crawl well while we were back in Kansas, he would go everywhere that we would let him go!
Kaden got to try out the See-Saw for the first time, and absolutely loved it! He had a huge smile the whole time!
Poor little Chazy had a hard vacation, on Thursday evening all of the little kids were out catching firefly's (which was one of my favorite memories of when I was a kid) and Chaz tripped with his glass jar, which shattered and sliced right under his eye. He was taken to the emergency room where the cleaned it and glued it shut. Then Friday he either had the flu or an allergic reaction to the medicine that they gave him. The poor kid was sick all day Friday, he felt better on Saturday, and then was sick all day again on Sunday. But he never slowed down!
Kaden thought that this bowl for puke was so much more fun than any of his toys (don't worry it hadn't been used!)
Krystal threw a huge birthday party for kids that have their birthdays in June. She rented a big jumpy castle, and gigantic blow up slide! We had so much fun, well actually Jake had so much fun along with Ricky and all of the kids. I actually had scratched my eye the day before so I was dealing with that which was not so much fun!
Dulcie Emma got a hold of Jake's camera and when we got home and looked over our pictures, there were about 75 pictures of Jake. If we clicked through the pictures fast it could have been a movie!
A First Baptist Church bus full of Catholics and Mormons-How does that work?
We had so much fun getting to ride all together to the Cafe which was about a hour or so.
This was Kaden's first try of mash potatoes! He loved them!
Thanks to everyone that made this trip memorable and fun! We loved going and visiting with everyone and showing Kaden off!

Lots to catch up on!

Okay, like I said in the last post, this month has been busy! We have had lots of adventures and a couple of firsts for Kaden! We have definitely taken advantage of Jake being out of school, he hasn't had a break from school longer then two weeks (in between spring semester and summer semester) for about 3 years. We have not only had weekends full of fun, but we have taken advantage of our time together during the week. It seems like we have something everyday-I start my day at 4:45 am and then get home from work at 3:00 pm and the second I get home we have fun things to do, such as, go swimming, visit family/friends, doctor appointments, hair appointments etc....
Kaden has 4 teeth! And he thinks that they are fantastic-he now feels that he is able to eat anything that we eat and if it was up to him he would be done with baby food!

He also started crawling the beginning of May. It has been so much fun seeing him figure out how to get to things (mostly things that he isn't suppose to have). He hasn't ventured to the stairs yet which I am so happy about. His favorite place in the house is either the master bathroom or the kitchen-weird! We have had our first face plant which included blood! His poor little legs were moving too fast, his arms couldn't keep up which ultimately ended with a face plant and big bloody lip! I didn't take a picture because I was too overwhelmed and didn't even think to get the camera, I felt so bad for the poor kid, and I wish we didn't tile our whole down stairs. We have had a lot of big bruises and goose eggs because of it, I can't imagine how bad it will be when his head is further then a foot of the ground. Even with the face plants he still loves being mobile and he loves to get into anything and everything. I was gone for the night and Jake was watching him, he sent me a picture text of this.....

That's right I got home to diapers flung all around the house (atleast they were unused)!

Kaden has also figured out how to climb on things and stand up. He almost has figured out how to get down once he stands up but it took a lot of falls! These pictures are from the beginning of May, up to that point when we would put him in his crib he would cry or whine for a while, then once he learned to crawl and pull himself up thats all he would do, as soon as we left he would stand up and play for a while, after about 10 min we would hear a big thud followed by frantic screaming. (He knew how to get up but didn't know how to get back down so he would just let go.) He would then do it all over again he would do this for hours. One night Jake had to go up there and when Kaden would stand up Jake would lay him down, Kaden would then stand up again and Jake would lay him down again. This went on for about an hour then Kaden finally wore himself out (along with his daddy). After that night he only got on his knees which he knows how to get down from!

Happy Father's Day!

I think that I have a new favorite holiday! Today has been so much fun, celebrating Jake's first Father's day. I have had a lot of fun doing things for him, I need to do more for him just because, it shouldn't take a holiday. I seem to always be too tired or too busy to do special things for him! Well at least there is a holiday for people like me, those of us that need to be reminded every once and a while that we need to do more then just talk the talk we need to put some action to it. Jake is the best daddy ever! I could have never imagined how having Kaden would change Jake (for the better, I know how could he be any better). He is such a wonderful dad, I could watch him interact with Kaden all day long. Kaden lights up when he sees his daddy. I have fallen more and more in love with him as I see him with Kaden. I am so grateful to have him in my life and to have him as my companion forever! Babe, I hope that you have had a wonderful weekend! We love you so much and are so happy that you are ours! YOU'RE BEST DADDY IN THE WORLD!

We made him breakfast in bed! A little bit of eggs, bacon, sausages, and waffles with strawberry's and cool whip! (and a fruit yogurt smooth that was suppose to come with fruit but it was all yogurt. Oh well, it was good anyways!)

I got Jake and Kaden matching ties- they are so cute!
Kaden got Daddy a new fancy watch! You can't see it in the pictures but it has a diamond at 12:00!

And he got a new flash for his camera, despite trying to keep it till fathers day it has already had a lot of usage!

Happy Fathers day to all of our dads! We love you and hope that you have a great day!

-I know I haven't blogged in a while and I have a lot to fill in, we have had an exciting past month that I will have to blog later
