His first ASU Game!

Daddy and Kaden were preparing for the game (and waiting for mommy to finish getting things together) They are both so cool in their sunglasses!
Before we went to the game we of course went to our fav place to eat- DeFalco's and holy cow Kaden loved the chocolate cake!
Uncle Brett and Aunt Courtney make everything fun!
In the beginning of the game Kaden was a little freaked out with all of the loud noise and I think a little but of the height! I didn't mind a little bit of the cuddles from him ( I never get that)
but after about a thirty min nap he was ready to go!
Here Kaden is with Aunt Gena and soon to be Uncle Gavin (Gena just got engaged about a week ago, we are so excited for the two of them!)
Kaden also had so much fun with Grandma and Grandpa Weaver. He had so many people to hold him and play with him it was great!
Kaden even got to take part in the counting for a touch down! (for each point the devils score people through a person up in the air) Kaden loved it- even though he looks a little freaked out in this picture there were lots of smiles!
It was a lot of fun to take Kaden to his first football game, and he did a great job! We had so much fun!

CHANGE!!!!!!!!!!

It's time to say goodbye to -

And Hello to -

That's right I left Wells Fargo after 6 and 1/2 years. After Jake and I talked and prayed about it we felt that it was time for a change! There is a couple of reasons for the change I am only planning on working another 3 to 4 years and to make that time the most productive that I can we felt like I needed to look else where, the bank was a awesome place to work and I loved all of the people that I worked with but to move up at all you have to be there a while, my old manager told me that the steps of moving up in Wells Fargo are really slow. Since I only have a few years to work I wanted to find somewhere that I could move up and make some more money! I have known a lot of people that have worked for University of Phoenix and have loved it and said that movement there can be quick!
Another big selling point for me is that I would love to get my MBA, and by working for UOP it makes it possible to do and to do it without taking out anymore student loans! I can get my masters with tuition 100% paid for!
I started last week and have 2 more weeks of training, I love the job so far and can't wait to get out on to the floor! We are both excited for this change and what the future holds!

Our Baby's 1!!!!!!!

Kaden's 1

We celebrated Kaden's first birthday yesterday, it turned out so cute! Thanks to all of you that came and shared in celebrating.

We started out he day kind of rough, We had to take him in for his 1 year check-up which included about 6 shots, and we found out that he had an ear infection. I thought after we were done there was no use to celebrate his birthday, he was going to be crabby the rest of the day(which I wouldn't had blamed him, who wouldn't be after a doctors visit like that!)
We came home and took a short nap. After Kaden woke up we headed over to grandma petersen's for the much anticipated 1st birthday party! Our theme was planes, trains & automobiles, We made Kaden his own truck cake, and then made sugar cookies and brownies for everybody else to enjoy!

I knew that he had a really hard day already and was prepared for a clingy baby. Kaden surprised me so much, he loved every min of his party. We ate some pizza, played in a bounce house (he didn't really like that), opened lots of presents, ate and played in cake! I am not sure how much better a 1st birthday could get!
Kaden loves brownies & pizza (and yes it was eaten in that order the dessert before the meal what can I say it was his birthday)!
Kaden's Grandpa & Grandma Chance surprised us and drove all the way down from Kansas to be here to celebrate Kaden's first birthday! It was such a wonderful surprise!
Kaden got lots of cute clothes and fun toys! He did really good at opening presents!
Kaden absolutely loved his cake! He couldn't hardly wait to dig his fingers into it! If you noticed in the first picture I had to hold him back until the candle was blown out (I let him do almost anything he wanted the whole day except at the times that he would hurt himself). It was hilarious when he was done with the cake he would grab a hand full and throw it down to the dog, and then let Spencer (the dog) lick his hands clean!
Thanks again to everybody that made this day so special for Kaden, Jake & I!

5 Years!

August 14 we celebrate our 5 year anniversary. I told Jake that it was his year to plan it, and he did a great job! It was some-what a surprise (I knew a little because he had to ask if I would leave Kaden with somebody overnight). I got off of work early so I could spend a little time with Kaden before we left. Once Jake got home we Started our date out by checking into the hotel-Hotel Valley Ho, it was such a nice hotel. We then went to Scottsdale Fashion and ate at a really nice restaurant but I don't remember what it was called. It was awesome to sleep in together, we haven't been able to do that for a year (thanks to kaden!). Thanks grandma petersen for letting Kaden spend the night, hopefully you will do it again, I know it wasn't the easiest thing! But it was sure nice for us!
Then next day Brett told Jake about this nice Italian Deli out in Scottsdale, this has become my new favorite place. If I get to choose where we are going this is my #1 choice. I would recommend this place to anybody (plus it is pretty cheap!)!

Thanks Jake for such a wonderful anniversary. I definitely have the best husband ever! He does so much for me and has so much patience. I love that we get to look forward to forever! I love that we have so much fun together and that I am able to call you my best Friend! I love everything you are!
