Tonto Natural Bridge

This is the Tonto Natural Bridge one of Arizona's wonders.

It is believed to be the largest natural travertine bridge in the world. The bridge stands 183 feet high over a 400-foot long tunnel that measures 150 feet at its widest point.Since it has really started to heat up in the valley we have not been able to walk outside and we were missing it. So last Saturday (June 27th) we decided that we would take Kaden up to Payson to one of our favorite places to go hike and hang out. So we went on a little day trip to the Natural Bridge. The therapist that Jake works with and his wife like to hike and have never been, so we invited them and their 3 month old boy to come with us. (However, we failed to get a picture with them.) Kaden did great on the way up he slept the entire way. So he was so excited to get out and have some fun.Kaden loves to be in his backpack and daddy makes such a great pack mule!

Even though we were in Payson it was still about 93 up on top but down under the bridge it was nice and cool, as well as, beautiful.Ooo lala, check out those butts! (Jake did not pose for this Laura took it with out him knowing.)I love this picture of Kaden it is so funny, he makes that face when he gets excited, he starts snorting it is hilarious.These are pictures of us down under the bridge, we were quite brave and we hiked along the bottom there is a stream that you can follow that leads to another way out to the top. It was a little difficult and at some spots it is real hard to cross but Jake is a good hiker and climber and kept Kaden safe. Kaden thought it was great he thought he was on a thrill ride or something.It was so pretty along the stream, this is why I love Arizona because there is such a variety in this state. In less than 2 hours we were up in the mountains enjoying it's beauty. About a month ago Kaden has started to act funny around Laura and prefers his daddy. He will hardly go to her if daddy is around. Jake was holding him and Laura went to get him and this was the result.
He finally calmed down enough to get a decent picture.

This is Kaden's most favorite spot in the whole world. He loves to be on daddy's shoulders and gets so excited when he is on them.As we came back up to the top of the canyon we came upon this pack of javelina, I have seen one before but never a pack. There were about 20 of them, they were in the thicket behind them and they would come running out crossing the clearing in groups of about 5. This was Kaden's first time seeing javelina and he was so intrigued. This is in front of a natural spring water fall, it was so green and pretty.

One of Kadens other favorite things to do is to fly high, daddy can't through him high enough. After all the hiking we were starving so being in Payson we had to go to our favorite pizza place The Pizza Factory. They have the good pizza and the BEST bread sticks.
After lunch we walked around a little and went to a dollar store and Kaden got a prize for being so good. He got this blue ball and he loves it. He pushes it and chases it around the house it is so cute.
