Guess Who's Smiling

Kaden is not only smiling but he also has a cute little giggle, it is so much fun to hear him. When he wakes up in the morning he will smile and laugh for hours (I will sit there and call for Jake every time he giggles it never gets old, Jake and I will watch him for hours, what great entertainment). He will giggle until he starts to gag, take a few minute break and then do it again and again.

This is the look I get when I am coaxing him to smile, he is not always as entertained as I am!

Happy Halloween Almost!

We had our annual pumpkin carving party at the Wilson's. It was a lot of fun to get together with the group. This started out when it was just the couples, now there are 8 kids (and more to come), it is fun to see that the tradition continues. The guys all go out and carve their pumpkins while the girls all sit inside and visit (and the kids get passed back and forth from the dad's to mom's).

Kaden and Brooke are a month apart.

Jared wanted to play with Kaden so bad. He tried to give Kaden a toy and didn't get why he wouldn't play with it.

Jaxon loved the swing and oreo's (who doesn't)!

Jake Carved a pumpkin for Kaden this year. I think that it turned out awesome (too bad it didn't make it till Halloween we already had to throw it away).

Homecoming Carnival!

Last Friday we thought that it would be fun to go back to our old high school Mesa High for their Homecoming Carnival (it will be a lot more fun next year when Kaden is a little older).

Kaden was really exciting, this seems to be the routine, we go to do something fun and he sleeps through the whole thing! Aunt Lindsay couldn't stand it, she had to get him out (the only reason why she came with us was to have fun with Kaden). We are so lucky to have a baby that is loved so much!

We went with Stewart and Shana, Jaxon had so much fun, this will be Kaden next year- I can't wait!

Shana and I thought that it would be fun to see the guys on this (I am not sure what it is called but it is where you are strapped in to a bungee cord and you run as fast and hard as you can to get to the end). They were great sports, Shana and I got a good laugh out of it and they both got headaches and neck aches, needless to say they both were sore the next day.

ZOO!

Saturday was Kaden's first time at the Zoo. It was so much fun! We had a couple of free tickets from a Diamond Backs game that we went to back in August. The tickets expired this weekend so we felt that we needed to take advantage. We were able to go with Stewart, Shana and Jaxon, and Jake's brother Brett and a couple of his friends.

Kaden slept from the time we got there until we were walking out to the car to leave. Jake just couldn't hardly stand to see him sleep so once he started to stir a little he got him out of his stroller and we held him the rest of the time (although I blame Jake on getting him out I wanted him out of stroller so we could get some family pictures). Good thing he stayed asleep.

My favorite part of the Zoo is the Orangutan's (along with everyone else)!

These were the only animals we got Kaden and the animal in the picture, who knows one of them might be Kaden's favorite animal!

Guess Who is One Month Old?????

You have got it! Kaden is one month and man has it gone by fast! It is kind of depressing how fast this last month has gone! Kaden is the joy of our lives, and we can't imagine life with out him! He is such a blessing in our home. I have been camera happy since we had him! I seem to take about 10-15 pictures a day there are so many fun things that I want to capture (I know it is our first kid but I hope to be as camera happy with all of our kids!)

This picture cracks me up, this is what happens to his hair if you don't brush it while it is soaking wet! It is just a big fuzz ball!

I love that we can give him a full bath now, I never felt like we could give him a good cleaning, when we were only able to sponge bathe him! He loves just hanging out in the water, but once we start to wash he gets MAD!

My sister Krystal gave Kaden one of those mats that you put on the floor and they kick around on, he doesn't quite get it yet! He just sleeps when I put him on it!

This is what Kaden likes best, to sleep on his daddy! Mostly daddy is sleeping too (Jake is the one that gets up with him at night except for when he is hungry) Kaden is such a daddy's boy.

And now for the most depressing picture from the last month, ASU has not won a game since Kaden has been born. He has supported the devil's and watched every game (or slept through every game) and they have yet to pull off a win for him. He might just have to become a wildcats fan!

Doctor What Doctor?

This is what happens when the doctor forgets about you for 45 minutes.


We went to the doctor on Tuesday for Kadens second appointment and the charts got mixed up and the doctor thought that we had already been seen. After sitting in the room for 30 minutes Jake and Kaden moved to the bed to take a nap. After 45 minutes I went out to find out what was going on and there was no one around it was noon and they were all at lunch. I finally found a nurse and told her we had not been seen, they started scrambling and finally the doctor came in.
Kaden is doing very well he gained 1lb he now weighs 8lb 7oz
He also grew about an inch he is now 21.25in.

OK so I decided to post again, Jake has done a great job keeping everyone up to date on our blog. I haven't had the energy or desire to blog I feel that if Kaden is sleeping I should be sleeping also, but today for some reason I have a sudden burst of energy.
This is Kaden's first time in his crib, needless to say as I am in the office one room over catching up on everyone's blog and I have checked on him probably 15 times (I know he isn't going anywhere but he keeps making sounds like he is waking up).



And this is the way that we have ended up! He was a awake right before took this picture, I know the picture makes it look like I had to go pick him up while he was just sleeping, but he was crying two min. before this. The typing must put him to sleep!


He is now back in his crib if anybody is wondering, so I can finish blogging.

I have been having a blast with Kaden's hair, everyone keeps telling me that if he was a girl that hair would be so much fun to do, I was wondering why a boy with all that hair isn't as fun. I
have been doing something different each day with it- Mohawk, Messy, flipped up in the front (which was my fav), and there is more to come. I have taken pictures of all of his crazy fun hairdos but in the picture it just looks like a giant fuzz ball, but in person they are so cute!



I had to post this picture it is so funny to see his little personality, He hates to be constricted but we have to put a blanket over his legs because our house downstairs is freezing, if we try to wrap his arms in a blanket he will fight it until he can get them out it is so hilarious!
