The Farm
I had the chance last Wednesday to get off of work early, so we decided to go on another one of our Petersen's adventures, and discovered the Farm! We had heard a little about it but had never been. It is down in Phoenix and is supposedly a hot spot to take pictures. We ate lunch there at a little cafe the sandwich that we got was great, they use all fresh veggies from the farm. It was really pretty and fun to walk around but really busy, especially being a Wednesday afternoon. It was a really fun afternoon because it was so laid back. Check out how Kicked back Kaden is with his foot rested up on his stroller - He's so funny!
Work or Play?
These days it seems as though cleaning up the house, folding the laundry, doing the dishes, and doing all of the daily tasks of keeping the house together have taken back seat. We decided that February was going to be our month of deep cleaning. We were going to do everything from dusting the fans, to cleaning out the cupboards and fridge. Well the first Saturday Jake did good and cleaned out the Fridge and cupboards. We thought how hard could it really be to take one day a week to deep clean one part of the house. We learned this month that with Kaden that it is much easier said then done! Kaden loves to play with all of his toys and does a great job at entertain himself as long as I am in the same room as him. He has just started to have a separation anxiety with me. He is fine with Jake and if I haven't been around he is fine, but the second that I come into his sight there is no leaving in his eyes. It seems kind of strange because he is with a sitter or grandparents Monday- Friday and does just fine, good thing Jake is the one that drops him off (I hate to admit it but I kind of like it to a point! Jake has always been the fav since day one, there would be day's in the first six weeks when I would be home with the Kaden and he would be crying all day and the second that he heard his daddy's voice he would calm right down. Well now it's my turn to be the favorite!) The problem that we have now is that it has made it hard to get the things done around the house that we had planned, oh well I guess that we would rather play then work in our home!
This is what happens when I leave the room even though Jake is sitting right in front of him playing.
Aloha From AZ!
Thanks to my sister Krystal and nephew Lain for these awesome shirts. We have been dying for Kaden to grow just so he could fit into his awesome Aloha shirt! Krystal wanted to get us a shirt from Hawaii for Kaden, she was thinking something with pastelly colors, and baby-ish, Lain picked this shirt out! Don't I have the most awesome nephew! Krystal saw that they had the same shirt in adult sizes and thought how could she pass that up! We have had these shirts since Octoberish, and I wouldn't let Jake even try his on until Kaden could fit into his! (I didn't want Jake's to be all faded when Kaden could actually wear his)! I love how cute they are in their matching shirts.
Thanks again to the Wellmans for such hot shirts!

Our Baby is 5 Months!
I can't believes Kaden is 5 months! Time has flown by, I know that I probably say that every month but I just can't believe that he is almost 1/2 a year old! He has been so much fun this last month! He is learning how to sit up, he can do it for a few minuets or until he realizes that nobody is there supporting him. He is still Mr. Smiley! He has such a cute personality, as well as a strong willed personality! We have been trying to get him to sleep in his pack & play vs. the swing (we were going through a pack of D batteries from Costco about every other week, and let me tell you that those things are not cheap!), this has been such a challenge. The first time that we put him in the crib he cried for exactly 1 hour and 50 min! Let me tell you how heart wrenching it was to hear him cry for that long. The next night it only took him 40 min. after that he would go down and would just talk to himself until he fell asleep, and let me tell you it was wonderful to not hear him cry. Well he did great for about 2 weeks, and now all of the sudden he is back to crying him self to sleep. He doesn't cry as long as the first time but he cries for about 20-40 min. if Jake doesn't give in. Jake is such a softy and can't stand to hear him cry. I keep telling him that he is never going to get better if he knows that his daddy will just come and get him. Well, other then the whole sleeping in his bed he has been so good, he is so fun to be around and will lighten up any one's day! I can't say it enough- We are so blessed to have such a wonderful little boy!
And we are so excited to announce that Kaden has his first cousin! For all of you who know my brother Jay and his wife just had their first little boy! He is healthy and Nicole is also doing great! His name is Olen Jay, he is adorable. We can't wait to be able to go and meet the little guy!

Dear Valentine-
I am sorry I didn't have a chance to post this yesterday, but I wanted to let you know how much I love you. You are my everything, I love all that you do for me and Kaden! You are such a great Man and I am so happy that I am able to call you mine! You are so fun to be around, I love that we are able to laugh and laugh. I am glad that we are also able to have those serious times! You have such a sweet side that makes melt inside! You are the best father in the world and Kaden is so lucky to have you in his life! I am so lucky that you decided to spend the eternities with me! I fall for you more and more everyday! Thanks for being the man that you are and I look forward to what each new day brings us!
I woke up and saw this on the table! The roses were gorgeous and the candies were yummy!
I made this for Jake! That's right, it's a man apron, he has been asking me for something like this for a long time, well I finally did it! I had to make it and I am just a beginning sewer, but I thought that it turned out alright. It doesn't look half bad if you look at it from a distance!
We went out to dinner with Shana and Stewart, it was Jake and Stewart's turn to plan! They did a great job, we went down to Tempe. We ate at Oregano's, we had so much food. It was so delicious, I got a pepperoni pizza (I know I am lame, but it was so yummy) and Jake got the eggplant lasagna, and of course we finished dinner off with a pizzuki for dessert. Dinner took longer then expected so we weren't able to do everything that they had planned. They wanted to take us to Tempe town lake and rent paddle boats, but it was too late after dinner, so we just went and walked around Mill. It was a really fun evening! Thanks Jake and Stewart for planning such a fun night, and thanks Mom and Gene for watching Kaden so we could have a nice Valentines date!
The Zoo Again-Sorry!
Okay, so it was my turn to carry Kaden at the Zoo! We had so much fun going, It is hard to not take advantage of the wonderful weather that we have been having. We decided to take a picnic this round and it turned out great!
Kaden's First Rice Cereal!
We gave Kaden Rice Cereal for the first time about 3 weeks ago, and he loves it! He gets so excited when we put him in his highchair and he sees us with his spoon! When we first gave it to him we made an absolute mess! I am starting to figure out how to feed him with out making such a mess, but Jake on the other hand is still having a little trouble!
