Lets go Fly a Kite!

Jake decided that Friday was a perfect day to do yard work. I asked him to watch Kaden for just one second I had to get something done. I yelled for him to bring him to me so I could feed him. I got no response so I looked out the window and saw this!

That's right Jake and Kaden Flying a kite! I ran to get the camera and by the time that I got out there to take pictures this is what has was going on.

The kite had fallen, Jake and Kaden were winding up the string.
Daddy decided that it was a little difficult to get the kite up in the air with a little buddy to help. I decided that I would let Jake have some fun and Kaden could just watch.
Jake was able to get the kite up a lot easier with out Kaden, even though it was funner with him! Jake is such a fun daddy, and I am sure that it will just be getting more fun as Kaden gets bigger!

Oh how I love your Smiles!

I feel that being a mom is one of the best things that has ever happened to me! I love to come home everyday from work and see my boy! He seriously has to be the happiest baby that I have ever seen! There is nothing that can melt my heart more then to see Kaden's huge smile. Jake and I have been so blessed to have Kaden in our lives. Life has never been so good! We love you Kaden with all of our hearts and are so happy that you chose to be with us!

Welcome Baby Olen!!!

My brother and his wife just gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Olen Jay. We are so excited and happy for them. He is doing great and I can't wait to meet him in May, when I go to Colorado for the blessing. He has the cutest strawberry blond hair and he is so little. I have already forgotten how little newborns are.
Congratulations Jay and Nicole!!!

Meeting Ginny!

Our Friends Stewart and Shana had their little girl on Thursday, she is so adorable. We were able to take them dinner on Friday, and hang out for a little bit. They are doing so well, I remember the day after I had Kaden and there was no way that I was up and moving like her. It was so much fun to see how Kaden reacted to a little baby.
Kaden was watching her so intently- He would have watched her all night if I was willing to just sit there with him, and if Shana was willing to let her cry (we are all happy that that wasn't going to happen).
We wanted to see the size difference-Jaxon did great just laying there still, and Kaden didn't know what to think of her!
Since Shana had so many fun bows we wanted to try them out on Kaden, we (I) wanted a preview on what our little girl will look like one day! (Jake was not very happy about this!) I thought that Kaden would make a pretty cute little girl, Diamond Backs shirt and all!
Congrats Wilson's

The Farm

I had the chance last Wednesday to get off of work early, so we decided to go on another one of our Petersen's adventures, and discovered the Farm! We had heard a little about it but had never been. It is down in Phoenix and is supposedly a hot spot to take pictures. We ate lunch there at a little cafe the sandwich that we got was great, they use all fresh veggies from the farm. It was really pretty and fun to walk around but really busy, especially being a Wednesday afternoon. It was a really fun afternoon because it was so laid back. Check out how Kicked back Kaden is with his foot rested up on his stroller - He's so funny!

Work or Play?

These days it seems as though cleaning up the house, folding the laundry, doing the dishes, and doing all of the daily tasks of keeping the house together have taken back seat. We decided that February was going to be our month of deep cleaning. We were going to do everything from dusting the fans, to cleaning out the cupboards and fridge. Well the first Saturday Jake did good and cleaned out the Fridge and cupboards. We thought how hard could it really be to take one day a week to deep clean one part of the house. We learned this month that with Kaden that it is much easier said then done! Kaden loves to play with all of his toys and does a great job at entertain himself as long as I am in the same room as him. He has just started to have a separation anxiety with me. He is fine with Jake and if I haven't been around he is fine, but the second that I come into his sight there is no leaving in his eyes. It seems kind of strange because he is with a sitter or grandparents Monday- Friday and does just fine, good thing Jake is the one that drops him off (I hate to admit it but I kind of like it to a point! Jake has always been the fav since day one, there would be day's in the first six weeks when I would be home with the Kaden and he would be crying all day and the second that he heard his daddy's voice he would calm right down. Well now it's my turn to be the favorite!) The problem that we have now is that it has made it hard to get the things done around the house that we had planned, oh well I guess that we would rather play then work in our home!
This is what happens when I leave the room even though Jake is sitting right in front of him playing.

By the way have I mentioned that I love garage sales! I got both of these fun toys at garage sales, I got the exersaucer (the first one) for $7, and the Jumparoo for $8- both in mint condition!

Aloha From AZ!

Thanks to my sister Krystal and nephew Lain for these awesome shirts. We have been dying for Kaden to grow just so he could fit into his awesome Aloha shirt! Krystal wanted to get us a shirt from Hawaii for Kaden, she was thinking something with pastelly colors, and baby-ish, Lain picked this shirt out! Don't I have the most awesome nephew! Krystal saw that they had the same shirt in adult sizes and thought how could she pass that up! We have had these shirts since Octoberish, and I wouldn't let Jake even try his on until Kaden could fit into his! (I didn't want Jake's to be all faded when Kaden could actually wear his)! I love how cute they are in their matching shirts.
Thanks again to the Wellmans for such hot shirts!
